Krein selected among 20 top companies to attend high-level Luxembourg event in Milan

Milan, 27/11/2025 – Lapo Chirici, Krein's CEO, was officially invited by Luxembourg Ambassador Christophe Schiltz to attend an exclusive private event at Terrazza Triennale in Milan, held in the presence of Xavier Bettel, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg.
The high-profile event brought together key figures from the Italian and international business landscape, underscoring the strategic commercial liaison between Luxembourg and Italy, two economies deeply interconnected through B2B partnerships and cross-border investment flows.
Krein has been selected among the top 20 organizations in the Milan business ecosystem. Other attendees included: Ferrero, Intesa Sanpaolo, Satispay, Scalapay, CDP Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, OGR Torino, and others.
The conversations was focused on real opportunities: from private equity to manufacturing partnerships, from fintech collaborations to innovation ecosystems:
"Luxembourg represents a an important hub for Italian businesses seeking to expand their European footprint, particularly in sectors such as private equity, asset management, and advanced manufacturing. The Grand Duchy serves as headquarters to numerous multinational corporations and financial institutions, making it an essential gateway for B2B operations across the continent. This country is then firmly on our radar. We're confident that in the future we can support the local business community by offering strategic Martech consulting that drives scale-up and asset innovation for B2B companies" - commented Lapo on this matter.
Against this backdrop, the bilateral relationship between Luxembourg and Italy continues to strengthen, with Italy ranking as Luxembourg's fifth-largest export partner and accounting for approximately 4.4% of Luxembourg's total exports in 2023. Italian imports to Luxembourg represent 3.4% of the country's total imports, with machinery, electrical equipment, and vehicles among the key traded commodities.
Trade between the two nations spans critical sectors including nuclear reactors and mechanical appliances, plastics, automotive components, and electrical machinery — industries where both countries maintain competitive advantages and complementary capabilities.
Luxembourg punches way above its weight as a B2B hub. Italy is already its 5th largest export partner, and with Luxembourg supporting nearly 900 companies in innovation programs this year alone, the potential for Italian businesses is significant.
The reception at Terrazza Triennale highlighted the ongoing commitment of both nations to deepening economic ties and creating new opportunities for B2B collaboration. For Krein, participation in this diplomatic engagement reflects the company's commitment to fostering international partnerships and exploring strategic opportunities within Luxembourg's dynamic business ecosystem.
Krein expresses its gratitude to Ambassador Schiltz and Minister Bettel for the invitation, and to everyone we met for the great exchanges.
